Tzedakah with dignity

When money is tight, no family should face it alone.

EPES Charity helps people in our community who are struggling financially — with rent, bills, food, Yom Tov and simcha expenses — quietly, and with respect.

  • Private & confidential
  • Given with dignity
  • Neighbors helping neighbors

How we help

Help for the moments that matter

Every family's situation is different. These are the kinds of needs EPES Charity helps with.

  • Rent & housing

Help covering rent and housing costs, so a family can stay safely in their home.

  • Utilities & bills

Keeping the lights, heat and water on when the bills start to pile up.

  • Food & groceries

Groceries and Shabbos needs, so no family's table goes without.

  • Yom Tov needs

Help with the added costs of Yom Tov — food, clothing and more — so families can celebrate with joy.

  • Simcha & wedding support

Support for families marrying off a child, so a simcha can stay a simcha.

  • Emergency grants

Fast, discreet help when something unexpected turns a family's world upside down.

Every coin becomes care. Every gift, given quietly, helps a family stand tall.

How it works

Simple for donors. Private for families.

  1. Step 1

    You give

Give once, give monthly, or give toward a Yom Tov campaign. Every amount helps.

  2. Step 2

    We verify, discreetly

Each request is reviewed carefully and confidentially, so help goes where it is truly needed.

  3. Step 3

    A family is helped

Help reaches the family in the way that is most useful — and most private. No names, no fuss.

Ways to give

Choose the way that feels right to you

Whether you give once or every month, your tzedakah helps a family breathe a little easier.

  • One-time gift

Give any amount, any time. Many people give in multiples of $18 — chai.

  • Monthly giving

A steady monthly gift lets us plan ahead and say "yes" when families need it most.

  • Sponsor a family

Help carry one family through a hard month or a Yom Tov. Email us to arrange it.

  • Yom Tov campaigns

Give toward Yom Tov needs — before Pesach (Kimcha D'Pischa), Sukkos, Chanukah or Purim (Matanos L'evyonim). Just add a note to your gift.

Our promise

Giving that protects dignity

Our tradition teaches that the way we give matters as much as what we give. Inspired by matan b'seser — giving in secret — we help quietly, so no one has to feel ashamed for needing a hand.

  • Dignity first

Every person who reaches out is treated with warmth and respect — never judged, never made to feel small.

  • Complete discretion

Names and stories stay private. We never publish who we help.

  • Your gift, their need

Our goal is for your tzedakah to reach the families who need it.

  • Neighbors helping neighbors

EPES Charity is our community caring for its own — because any of us could need help one day.
